Come again? Good hip hop on mp3.com? Eddie Meeks and Mello declare themselves, "the ultimate" on "Prophetionals," and while that may be a bit of boasting and toasting, they are damn good. Meeks and Mello flip classic tag-team rhymes like Run-DMC, and they're not afriad to reduce the beat to a bulletproof skeleton and go to battle as "a two-man army" on "Sun Tzu (The Art of War)." A hot flute loop trades off with a dirty guitar to power "True Urban Grit (T.U.G.)," another opportunity for Prophetix to flex their considerable rhyme muscles and love of titles with parentheses. With just three game-tight tracks here, these Atlanta MC's are on the way up." RG (Rob Geary)
