We got good news and bad news folks...
Here's the bad news: The Lyricist Lounge event on Sunday March 30th with Big Daddy Kane and Killa Priest (I had originally thought it was Killer Mike) has been cancelled due to low ticket sales. Awwwwwww...
Now for the good news: The Nashville show to celebrate Vanderbilt University's 50 year anniversary of their radio station WRVU is still going on tomorrow March 29th. For those that don't know, our World Famous DJ Jon Doe was a DJ at WRVU for a while so this will be sort of a homecoming for him.
A bit more good news: The Prophetix 12-inch singles are back from United Manufacturing. Yeah!!! I haven't seen them yet with my own eyes but from what Jon Doe tells me they look HOT! That's good because the music on it is definitely HOT! Stay tuned for some specials coming soon...
A headz up for those who have been asking about buying Prophetix T-Shirts, THEY ARE ON THE WAY!!! We are even gonna have some baby-Tees for the ladies. :-) We'll be adding them to the store soon.
I think I sent everyone on the Prophetix.net email list info about a music industry panel discussion that I participated in yesterday. It was cool. Even though I was on the panel, I was still taking notes as well. Big Up to the panelist that were there. I learned a lot and gave a lot. More independent artists and labels should participate in events like this to really educate themselves to the TRUTH about the industry.
Holla... |
