The long awaited High Risk release has already received accolades from radio, magazines, and industry peers and has been called "another ATL classic album" by Marcel Daniels at Georgia State University's Gavin Award winning Rhythm and Vibes Hiphop radio show.

With an all-star cast which boasts such names as MF Doom, DJ Cheapshot, and Scienz of Life, this album is more of a safe bet than a high risk. Laced with 22-cuts, the album has a mixture of wide-ranging topics that strike a balance with men and women both young and old.

Ok, so I couldn't stay away for too long....

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

International Hiphop magazine Elemental has featured DJ Jon Doe, Mello Melanin, and Eddie Meeks a/k/a Prophetix in their August 2002 issue. The 3-page interview is mostly a historical account of how the group has metamorphizied into one of the most talked about acts on the scene.

The article covers the humble beginings of the group from emcees Meeks and Mello meeting at Southern Polytechnic State University in Atlanta and performing at the Apollo Theatre in Harlem to Jon Doe having classes at Western Kentucky University with members of the now chart-topping Nappy Roots.

Prophetix, whose 22 song, full-length album "High Risk" is due out later this summer recently returned to Atlanta from rocking in Charlotte, North Carolina with Scienz of Life, Stahhr tha F.E.M.C.E.E, The Lost-N-Found Dept. and Grizz-Lo.

AH HAH!!!! Dammit, we're back up and running. Seems things are finally worked out now with the site, we were having some issues updating this here blogger and the site all together, but now we are back up and running full force. You may have noticed that there had not been any updates since the end of June, so make sure and read below on what has been happening with us since then.

THE ALBUM IS AT MANUFACTURING NOW!!! Thanks to my man Jomoms back home in the KY, we were able to knock all that mastering mess out of the way and get things back on track. So the Prophetix LP "High Risk" should be available very, and I do mean VERY soon. Go over to our MP3.com site and check out the album cover. We should have an update here at the site soon with the artwork and what not, but for now head on over there and peep the realness. Our favorite design guy and yours Matt Rex One SLAYED it. Please head over to Rex Resources and check out his work, and get at him for all of your design needs!

In other news, make sure and get at Jon Doe at Scribble Jam in Cincinnati this weekend. I'll be heading up early Friday morning with my man James Scienide from the Lost-N-Found Dept. Should be a sure-fire event this year, with performances from the Def Jux camp, Atmosphere, 7L & Esoteric, Five Deez and others. Check out the Scribble Jam link above for all the info on this event. You can catch us hanging out a good bit at the HDZ (Hoodz and Headz Softwearz) table over those three days, hocking shirts and beats all day long. And if you didn't know already, HDZ is getting ready to blow minds. Make sure and peep out their website, 'cause their new line is out of control.

That's all for now, I can't drop all the goodies at one time. Just let it be known we're in overdrive mode from here on out!

Online store coming soon!
